UPDATE 02-21-10

Well, it's been almost a whole year since the last update and I'm embarrassed to say that things are still moving at a snail's pace over here at Popgun HQ. But maybe things really will be picking up soon - I just sent off a handful of tapes to JIGSAW RECORDS, a brand new little "record shop" owned and operated by CHRIS MAC of INDIEPAGES fame. The store is set to open on March 13th this year, and I'm hoping to send even more tapes before that happens. They'll also have an on-line presence, so you can order awesome indie pop from anywhere in the world, if you're unable to visit the shop in person. I've pulled out the Popgun copy masters and revved up the ol' dual-cassette player...for more info on Jigsaw Records check HERE.

UPDATE 03-08-09

Well, I have not done much updating to this site since the last post back in October. As usual, I've just been really really busy with other projects, etc. A lot of nice folks have been expressing interest in obtaining tapes, despite the lack of activity from the label...it still amazes me that in this digital age, people still want to rock tapes. Yes! So, I really really need to get on the ball and finish up this site.

In the meantime, I'm going to try to accommodate some requests for tapes. In the future, I won't be dubbing off tapes "on-demand" like I did in the past - back in the day, someone would order a list of tapes and I would dub tapes according to that order. Needless to say, this takes up a lot of my time, which is precious and few nowadays. In the very near future, the only tapes I'll be selling will be whatever I have on hand at the moment...whatever I had time to run off in my "spare time". I'll try my best to keep "best sellers" in stock and will take requests for tapes people would like to see in the shop (which will probably be via my ETSY page, via my EXTRA CREDIT CRAFTS label). Also, there will be a price increase. The cost of surviving has gone up in the 14 years of Popgun's existence. I've got a mortgage and bills to pay. You know the score. Anyways, everything will be priced a dollar more. Tapes that were once a buck, will now cost two. And old $2.00 tapes will now cost $3.00. So yeah. I still haven't quite figured out how the pricing is gonna go yet, including shipping. For now, let's just go with the dollar increase in prices.

For all those who have been waiting, thanks for being so so very patient. Please bug me though, because it will only help motivate me to get finally get my shit together.

UPDATE 10-30-08

For those of you who have stumbled upon this blog...sorry for the mess! I'm still in the process of updating all the individual posts on each release. So far, I've added details, info, etc. to all the CHA CHA CHA releases, FIREFLIES and GREAT MOMENTS tape, and the first TEST PILOT cassette. I'm trying to add "backstories" and "fun facts" on each release, so check it out if you can...I'm hoping that things will be 100 percent before the end of the year (hopefully sooner, but I'm being realistic!)
